Trains, Buses, Cars, and Trains Again

Image
Don't know who this Easter Bunny is, but I sure like the dude... We took a trip "Down South" to visit our friends and family at Eastertime. We intended to catch a train in Ann Arbor, take it to Chicago, catch an overnight train to Greenwood, MS, rent a car there and drive it to Starkville to visit some friends, then get back on the trian and take it to Hammond, LA. Almost all went as planned, with exception of having to get on a bus at 1:00 am for a part of the journay as the tracks were flooded. No problem... That's EXACTLY how we looove to travel :) Makes for good blog entries. Aside of this one little snafu, all was fabulous. Not sure about your hat, mister, but I like the food... I have no idea how it happened, but we didn't take a single pic during the actual holidays. So I give you what I got...

Happy Thanksgiving

Image
As usual, our Thanksgiving feast was, well, BIG. Somehow we always forget, that it is ONE meal that we are cooking. Leftovers are nice, but if you like to cook, they stand in your way of creations to follow. This year, we had two guests - Uncle Dave, and Auntie Swati. Julian will, I think, ask Swati to marry him as soon as he can put such complicated sentence together. Mine, all MINE!!!! Little Foodah Gotta learn your trucks early... We haven't done crepes in a while as they require much more time and energy than we could spare since our Little Man was born, but since both of our esteemed guests put in the request, we had to get busy. Farm's Grand Finale

The last day at the Farm is always a little sad - no more weekly trips, no more singing to cows, running around in the grass, chasing Bob the Cat... But then the Spring comes, and all is well in the end.

Geaux Tigers!

What do I do with this bucket thingy, again? Julian's second Halloween was more fun than the first one - for the parents, that is. He could walk further on his own this time, before having to be carried... :) Trust me, them costumes are not easy to work around if the kids refuses to take another step by himself.

Happy Birthday, Little Man!!!

Image
We spent Julian's second birthday with Baba Hania and Dziadzio Andrzej in Florida. Because of the red tide, we couldn't spend any time on the beach (talk about a bummer), but manager to have loads of fun nevertheless. Julian discussing the upcoming presidential election with Baba and Dziadzio Julian's Birthday Cake consisted of an artfuly arranged egg-free scones from a nearby English Tea House. Kudos to Baba for finding these - and the candles!!! It took us a bit of an effort to pull out the candles from the scones before J-man ate them. Leisurely refreshing Dziadzio's knowledge of the alphabet... ...and studying the effects of static electricity on people's hair. Let's do that AGAIN!!!!!!

Candy's Visit

Candy visited us for a weekend. Julian enjoyed reading books in his tent, and apple picking at a nearby orchard...
