Appendix Out = Grandmas In
Hanging out with Nona at the Waterfront... ...or on the playground while Mom naps after her surgery. Just a few days after our return from Poland Mom ended up in the emergency room, and had her appendix expeditiously removed. We are forever grateful to Tony and Julie for picking up their phone at 5:00 am and for taking care of Julian that day. Many thanks to Suzanne (and Benji!) who took care of Julian the following day, when Mom and Dad were in the hospital. Our warmest thanks go to Babcia Hania and Nona who flew in from LA to keep Mom in bed, and away from all stairs, and all things that needed to be lifted - like Baby J. They also cooked up a storm and left a lot of meals for us in the freezer. Julian, oblivious to all the drama around him, had a blast playing with all the "new" people for two weeks.
